One of the many things that have changed over the past couple of years is the border laws and rules. This topic brings a lot of passion and controversy from many with opinions both online and in daily life. Boarders are open because of human rights and allowing people to come to the great country of the US brings a lot of problems within the topic of the border.
Only a month ago now the question and topic were once again brought up but this time because of a different reason. A University of Georgia student was stabbed to death in the back trails of campus. This was shocking to so many and reached headlines online quickly as it was the first death on campus with foul play in 25 years. The university had not had an issue like this ever before. With the help of cameras there suspects were found to be illegal immigrants who got into the United States a few years back due to open boarders by President Biden.
This brought many concerns and questions regarding the topic. Personally, I think closing the boarders would be a great idea as only people with permission to get into the US would be allowed. What do you think?

Thanks for sharing, Zach. I think that the border is a complicated issue. The way I see it is that if our processes to get people into the country legally were easier and faster, we would have less illegal immigration. It's kind of how if a parent is strict on their kid, the kid is going to want to disobey even more. The stricter our border laws are, the more people are not going to want to go through the process to get in. They will just come illegally. So, while I do think closing the border is an option, I think that we have to address the issue of why people are coming illegally. Did they not get approved? Do they not know how? Etc.
