 The digital age has quickly become a rising conversation within the generation. With new social platforms and the rise of users, there have become more and more "Influencers" on the internet. As much as it is a choice these users make to follow these influencers the power being yielded is another conversation. With millions of followers at the fingertips of these young individuals who are seen a influencers online, it has become a conversation of using their platform to have political social movements, shapes the opinions of their followers, and give false information to their followers for a click or two. One of the most significant ways in which social media influencers impact politics is by raising awareness about pressing social issues and bringing their support to their followers to hope there is a change.With this comes a ton of opinions and misinformation. Let's look at it in the conversation of political elections and decisions. When something is brought up in the social world everyone gives their opinion on the matter and with this becomes a credibility problem. People will claim that what they hear is correct because they got their information from someone with 1m followers or something along
those lines when it is not always the case. This shows a huge problem with social media influencers and their opinions being shared that oftentimes will carry misinformation.
